Terms of use (pre-launch draft)

Nurtalo is in active development ahead of launch. We would rather tell you plainly what exists today, what is being reviewed, and what is still to come, than imply a finished service.

Nothing on this website is an offer of a service level, an availability guarantee or a fixed price. Where a capability is described as planned, reviewed but disabled, or not yet released, that description is the accurate one.

Staff accounts are created and managed by the organisation that uses Nurtalo. Family accounts are created by the nursery a child attends. Accounts are personal and must not be shared between people.

Access reflects a person's role and the settings they are assigned to. Attempting to reach records outside that scope is a misuse of the service.

Nurtalo must not be used to store information it is not intended for, to attempt to access another organisation's records, to probe or disrupt the service, or to upload malicious content.

The public website must not be used to submit personal data about children, families or staff.

The nursery decides what it records, who may see it, and what is shared with families. It is responsible for keeping its own access lists current, including removing people who have left.

Anything urgent about a child must follow the setting's own safeguarding and emergency procedures immediately, and must never wait on software.

To operate the service with the controls described on the security page, to be accurate about what is and is not built, and to make an organisation's data exportable in full.

To describe defects and limitations plainly rather than presenting an incomplete capability as finished.

This draft will be replaced by the contractual terms agreed with each organisation. Material changes to this page will be reflected here.
